Music Theory Exam update – session two

On the basis of government advice, we are cancelling the Music Theory exams due to take place later in 2020. We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your ongoing loyalty and support

 

COVID-19 update – 19 March

On the basis of official and local advice, we are suspending Practical and Music Theory exams from now until 1 July 2020. We will not be taking any bookings for the forthcoming Music Theory exams and will be delaying the introduction of our new exam booking service. Our Representative will contact applicants with further guidance and we will provide updates about future exam sessions as soon as we can. We are very sorry for the impact on teachers and candidates and thank you for your loyalty and support at this difficult time.

How do I enter an ABRSM exam?

  1. Check local exam dates, fees and entry deadlines

  2. Download and complete an entry form.

  3. Return a copy of the entry form to your local representative or contact together with your exam fee payment.

    Candidates for Practical Grades 6, 7 and 8 must already have passed one of the following qualifications: ABRSM Grade 5 (or above) in Music Theory, Practical Musicianship or a solo Jazz subject. A copy of the certificate or mark form MUST be supplied at the time of entry.

  4. Once you've completed and returned the entry form and payment to your local representative, you'll receive details of your exam appointments by post or email.
